Question by windymay99: How do you get your money from an unsecured personal loan?
I have been apporved for an unsecured personal loan to pay off credit cards. My question is how do I get the money to pay them off? I close later today and just wanted an idea. I had to give estimates of what I owed when I applied but I have since made 2 payments so the amount is different? the lending institution is PNC if that makes any difference. Thanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Let me steer you
They will explain how much you got and how you get paid when you close.

Some companies just pay off the loans and you never see any money. Then you owe the money to that one lender. This is the usual way because the lender wants to insure that the other loans are paid in full so you only owe the money to them.

Question by : Does anyone know of any lenders who provide unsecured loans to students in the amount of ,000?
I went from working a full time job and holding ends together to becoming a full time student in an accellerated program and not being able to make ends meet at all. Unfortunately, the class schedule is so random no one in their right mind will hire me for a part time job. I have good credit but took out a $ 100,000 student loan to pay for school. Because of that loan I cannot find anyone that will consider lending that. The above mentioned $ 35,000 would be used to pay a few things…car, credit card, two other student loans, and a couple of other things of that nature. If anyone has any ideas or suggestions…it would be appreciated.
It’s actually a flight school. You are right though, I can’t imagine anyone dishing out 35k for a loan either. Thats why i’m looking for suggestions.
debt consolidation and/or to pay off all debts?

I am limited with SSDI and a very part-time job. I am $ 6000 in the hole and the hole keeps getting deeper. I want and can pay for one monthly payment to one loan office and have the loan to pay off all my debts and to start fresh. I don’t have anyone to co-sign with me. Does anyone have any suggestions of who I can contact for financial help??!! and it being safe and secure. Payday loans charge over 100% interest. THanks!

Best answer:

Answer by Gem
I would not trust anyone on line in this business. These companies are making millions by screwing over the most vulnerable in our society, who happen to be the least able to afford it.

My suggestion would be to go and join a credit union (like a bank) and start having your SSDI checks deposited there, then apply to them for your unsecured personal loan. The fees and interest rates will be real good for you.

Question by Shauntae: Is it wise to get a unsecured loan to pay off another unsecured loan?
The loan will be in the thousands. And if so what is the best business to apply for the loan with?

Best answer:

Answer by bdancer222
Shifting debt to another loan is a bad idea. You have the cost of loan processing and probably are extending the financing period. Spreading the debt over a longer term means you pay more interest even if the rate is less.

Better idea is to set up a strict budget and throw every penny you can squeeze out of that budget onto that debt. Find ways to bring in extra cash — garage sale, collect alum cans, get a second job.

Question by russell h: What should I look for when applying online for a unsecured personal loan?
I am going to apply for a unsecured personal loan online. I have about six sites that I am going to pick from to nail it down to just one. My question is what should I look for to pick the best site? I know I should go with a low interest rate but what are other things should I find out before I apply? How can I find out if the site is not a scam or hiding something that I might not know to check out before I apply?

I need to pay off like 5 credit cards, and 2 personal loans. I am just trying to put it all together and lower my monthly payment. Please help me with this.I have pretty good credit i guess but alot of inquiries because 2 car dealerships shotgunned my credit report around.
Please no more scammers trting to give me a loan. Just wanted to know some legit loan company’s that would work with someone

Answer by rod W
By using services from a debt relief organization you will stop receiving phone calls asking you for money. You will pay a fixed rate amount every month which will never go up. You won’t be dealing with your creditors any more. The “debt relief people” will be paying your bills for you, and your credit card company is out.
