Could my Identity be stolen?

Asked by admin on May 19th, 2010 Listed in: Stolen Identity

I gave away information such as my name, address, phone number, email address, and birthday. Is this enough information to get my identity stolen in any way?

  1. Yes

  2. Yes, but it would take a real mastermind thief to get away with this, don’t give away any more of your information to anyone you don’t know or trust.

  3. I don’t think it is as easy as that. If it was that easy, then I would have had my identity stolen a hundred times by now. The only way your identity can be stolen is by your social security number or you credit card.

  4. More than enough information for someone to steal your identity.
With the right hacker software, a person with just your name & DOB can access information to obtain your SSN, driver’s license number, etc. Since you already provided all that info, the thief only needs to locate your SSN & D/L # to apply for dozens of credit cards, make illegal purchases in your name, etc.
