You may be able to do it online; we can in Indiana. Check their web site. You need to get into the DMV and get that license changed to a new number; they should be able to do that, especially if you show them what’s happened.
You probably should visit the DMV in person anyway and get both things done at the same time.
What do you think? Answer below!

As David W mentioned, you need to contact the DMV and pull your driver’s history.
If you a victim of this form of identity fraud, you will need to file a police report with your local jurisdiction and also any jurisdictions where the perpetrator used your information. These jurisdictions and their officers will have a copy of the traffic citation. These citations will contain a number of different things such as driver’s license number, name, dob, address, vehicle tag, vehicle make, vehicle model, color, etc.
These will have to be investigated before the jurisdiction removes the citation from your records.
Contact the three major credit reporting agencies and request a free copy of your credit file.
I would also consider running a criminal history check with your local police department. If someone is using your information to avoid driving violations, they could also use this information when being arrested and charged with a crime.
I would also suggest that you contact one of the three major credit reporting agencies and place a fraud alert on your credit file. This initial fraud alert will last for 90 days. Within the 90 day period, I would suggest that you write the credit reporting agency and then request an extended fraud alert which will last for 7 years. The request must be in writing and accompanied by a copy of the police report.
You also need to file a complaint with the FTC or Federal Trade Commission.
