Question by She-ra: Why is it a felony for another person to steal your identity, but not an illegal?
Identity theft is a felony. Why is it that when an illegal uses your identity they are not charged accordingly? Instead, there are certain people that will say “Awww, poor illegals, they just want a better life.” (By the way, I hope that these peoples identities are stolen and that they have to deal with the problem firsthand)
Can anybody explain why this is?

Best answer:

Answer by gokart121
That’s because we have corrupt politicians who think ‘they know best’ and are more or less in collusion with each other to give Mexico an unquestioning free pass into the country…maybe if they showed a little more integrity and leadership on the issue, there’d be more penalties against the whole business…my personal theory is, ID theft has become high science in Mexico…

Question by Jen: How come banks don’t give out secured personal loans to a person with bad credit?
Their getting their money either way????? Like if I asked for a $ 4000 loan and I put my car up for security. My car is worth about $ 5000. They know if I was stupid and didn’t want to pay my loan payment they could just sell the car and get their money back.!

Best answer:

Answer by Kiki
the reason they dont give people loans with bad credit is the fact that your credit reports shows how good you with paying you bills on time, and they dont want to give someone money if they have no intentions of paying it back. that is why if you have bad credit they always ask if you have someone with good credit that will co-sign for you, that way if you dont pay the other person will cause they wont want to mess up their credit. Pretty much the same reason why people with bad credit cant get a credit card.

Question by Becka: How do you contact the credit reporting agencies and get a real person to talk to?
I am trying to get a loan and there is something showing up to them on my credit report that shouldn’t be there. When I go online to call the credit reporting agencies, the numbers I get are all automated systems. I can’t get a real person! They all are asking me for a report number but I don’t have one. How do I get a real person? This shouldn’t be this hard. :/

Best answer:

Answer by Judy
You need a report number.
How did you get your credit reports in the first place?
There is only one place to get them – annual credit report. com
Have you tried disputing the item? That is your first step.
First you have to dispute the item on your credit report.
